Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) is learning concept which encourages teachers to connect between what is taught and students real-world situations. One of the learning strategies developed with the aim of learning to
walk with a productive and meaningful for students is contextual
learning strategies.The fact is that most students are not able to connect between the material they learned with their use in real life.
The main component of CTL, namely;1. Constructivism (Constructivism)Constructivism learning emphasizing the understanding alone is active,
creative and productive based on previous knowledge and learning from
experience.2. Asking (Questioning)Asked the CTL learning is seen as an effort teachers can encourage
students to learn something, directing students to obtain information,
as well as determine the development of students' ability to think.3. Discovering (Inquiry)This
activity begins from the observation of the phenomenon, followed by
activities to produce meaningful findings obtained by the students
themselves.
4. Learning community
Learning outcomes can be obtained with sharing between friends, between groups, and between the know to who do not know, both inside and outside the classroom.
5. Modeling
The model in question could be giving examples, such as how to operate something, showing the work, showing an appearance. How this kind of learning will be faster to understand student
6. Reflection
reflection back over the newly learned knowledge.
7. Authentic assessment
process of collecting a variety of data that can give you an idea or information about the development of students' learning experiences.
